Too Many Ideas

So i have spent the last hour or so gawking at other peoples blogs.
I have so many ideas on stuff that i want to make i don't know where to start.
Too bad we are in the middle of packing and my poor sewing machine is in its box.
All my fabric and goodies are packed.
though it probably wouldn't do me any good to have them out, since i would have no place to use them.
My sewing table, aka kitchen table, is also packed.
Hopefully soon they can come out and play.

Packing House Again!

So we are packing up again.
this time we are heading to Oregon.
A nice new fresh start to our lives.
Kind of scared but mostly excited.
We get to be close to family,
my girls are going to be able to get to know their
cousins and aunts and uncles,
Grandparents.
We get to celebrate the holidays with family
It has been years since we have
spent a holiday with family.
Plus my Dear Hubby won't have to work long hours
during the Season.
He will be home.
That is the icing on the cake right there

Happy Thanksgiving!

Just wanted to stop in and give a quick Happy Thanksgiving. I am thankful for so much in my life. I Love my babies, who are pains in the booties, but I wouldn't have it any other way. For my wonderful amazing Husband. He works so hard so we can have all the nice things we have and so I don't have to work. For my family, even though they are far, they are in my heart.
So with that I hope you all have a wonderful day.
I know we will, turkey is in the smoker and everything is prepped and ready to cooked.

Busy Couple Weeks

So it has been a crazy couple weeks.
Two weeks ago My hubby's parents came out to visit.
It was so nice having them around. The girls loved getting all the
extra attention, And I loved having the "babysitters" My hub's and I
got to go to dinner and go see a movie, in the theater. Our first
since before my 3 1/2 year old were born. It was great.

BUT THE ONLY DOWN SIDE WAS THAT I SEW AT THE KITCHEN TABLE AND I DIDN'T WANT TO GET MY MACHINE OUT AND HAVE TO CLEAN UP THE MESS AT EVERY MEAL. SO I HAVE AN URGE TO DO A LOT OF
SEWING. SO THESE ARE PICS OF ALL THE STUFF I HAVE DONE THIS WEEK, MINUS A DRESS CAUSE THE BATTERY ON MY CAMERA DIED AS I WAS TAKING ITS PICTURE.

this dress at the top i worked on yesterday and when i went to put it on T it was way too big, so today after a ton of seam ripping i fixed it and it fits here great. It was also my second attempt at freezer paper stenciling, which i love by the way. And I also have figured out how to make cloth flowers. so cute.

I saw this shirt and knew my daughter would love it. She is very into superhero's lately and to find a shirt with all the girl superhero's, well whats cooler? And since the shirt was huge why not make a dress? She also had to put on her wonder woman cuffs from her Halloween costume. I love her!
Now these turkey shirts are great and so easy to make if you have the right tools. The top shirt I didn't use and fusible so trying to machine sew the feathers was so difficult, I couldn't keep them straight. so I sewed them all on by hand, a couple hours later it was done. Cute, but way to difficult. The second shirt i got smart and used some of the heat and bond, way easier. though i did go back later and sew the tips of the feathers down and to give it some more dimension.

this is my baby being camera shy.
it gave me the perfect opportunity to take a pic of the new headband i made. I love the colors and how full the flowers look. not quit the soft  pretty flowers in the tutorial but pretty non the less. note to self, don't use gross grain ribbon, hard to push the sharpest needle thru.

Well that has been my life the past few days. Now on to clean the house and try to find a tutorial on how to make boxer shorts so my hubby doesn't feel left out of my sewing world.

leggings

I just got done making my first pair of leggings. I think they turned out cute. And all I did was trace a pair of leggings that she already has and pieced them together and added some buttons

YAY!

So I have finally got around to making some dresses since my trip to Tucson to get fabrics. I think they turned out great. Thank you Leila&Ben for the pattern. They were so easy to make and add your own flair to. I added belt loops to the owl dress since my one year old would loose the belt if not attatched.

Now on to painting with T.
Grandparents are coming out next week and she is already starting to make them pictures for them to take home with them.
